Hi,
I'm a 26 year old male looking to emigrate to Poland. I recently aquired some money. I have 180,000 pounds (1,012,100 PLN) and want to buy 2 houses in Poland One to live in Myself and the other as investment capital, I also have a profitable business that will continue to make me 2,500 pounds (14,129 PLN) per month whilst im in Poland.
I was wondering if any of you guys here have moved to Poland and can recommend any areas worth visiting where the houses are cheap? I really want to find the best houses i possibly can as I plan to find a polish wife out there and start a family. Another reason i want to move is that the money I have will hopefully go a lot further in Poland.
I'm deadly serious about doing this (I've already sold my house!). I'm going to Poland on the 20th December to Zamosc and then I will travel to Torun and maybe Poznan. Also if anybody can recommend any good 5 star hotels in any of theese areas I would really appreciate it.
Also whats the weather going to be like? ;-)
If you've moved out there already, please share your stories with me.
Thanks guys!

Hi,
in your post you mentioned Poznan- my hometown. I can really recommend buying house in suburbs. Poznan is a great city with many opportunities. If you'd be interested I may try to get in tough with the lady I met who's working or cooperting with the property management agency, that has prepared a special offer for foreigners wanting to buy a house in Poland. How about the weather- as far as I know it's colder and more humid then in Wiltshire (where I' m staying). If you need really up market hotel- try Sheraton- as it's really wel known brand, in Poznan it's brand new (started 21 November). I can recomend also Domina Prestige, Vivaldi and Trawinski (but they're 4stars). And be cautious when searching for the polish wife.....

Hi!
If I were you, I would definately buy flats in Wroclaw (Breslau) and Poznan. It's a good deal to be a landlord here - in big cities there're a lot of students who are eager to live in rented flats rather than in a dormitory. The prices for the flats are booming right now - the bigger city the bigger profits you will get. Just in this year the value of my flat has already beed doubled and it's estimated that this situation isn't going to change in 2007. So hurry up mate! Cheers!
